When should the CO₂ cylinder be replaced?
The CO₂ cylinder of your Quooker CUBE lasts for an average of 60 litres of sparkling water. Depending on your consumption, that's 1-3 months.
Signs your cylinder is empty
- Fewer or no bubbles in your sparkling water
- Water flows slower from the tap in sparkling mode
- You no longer hear a hiss when dispensing
Step-by-step: replacing the cylinder
Time needed: 2 minutes
Step 1: Open the cupboard door under the sink
Step 2: Locate the CO₂ cylinder — it's the small metal cylinder (silver/black) connected to the CUBE
Step 3: Carefully unscrew the empty cylinder (counter-clockwise)
Step 4: Screw on the new cylinder (clockwise) until you hear a click
Step 5: Dispense some sparkling water to flush the system through
Step 6: Done! Enjoy fresh sparkling water
Tips
- Always keep a spare cylinder — nothing is more annoying than no sparkling water on a hot day
- Only use original Quooker CO₂ cylinders — other brands will not fit and can cause damage
- Do not shake the cylinder — this is not necessary and has no effect
- Store cylinders upright — in a dry, cool place
